8 weeks and amazing
We are working on Elimination Communication so he tells me when he needs to go potty and I take him to either his potty or a nice place outside. Here he is having a nice afernoon poop
He is also a great stander and likes to do little jumps it took us a while to get a good photo which is why he is not looking too happy. But in the background is our cabin
Teancum really loves his tummy time and has been able to hold his body up like this more and more each day
First time in the lake and although he was not a huge fan, he did not really friek out either.

Fun in NH
This was not set up at all, I just walked in and it looked like this, I thought is was so funny that I waited until someone walked by so they could look at and share my joke.
Here is a bit of a smile, he does more but it is hard to catch it on camera. He is also doing this really cute thing where if I say "Hello" he will go "aaaaoooo" and look at me very focused and give little smiles after he says it. Oh how fun
Teancum is working hard during tummy time, he started lifting his body up with his arms about two weeks ago and is able to hold it longer and longer each day. When his arms give out he just kicks his way across the bed and leaves a slime trail on the sheet
Naked baby after a bath and my new shirt from the thrift store that does a great job at dispersing this humid weather
I really thought this coat was cute, too bad it did not last very long

Teancumn's first summit on Mt. Piermont in NH. This is the first of many as the trailhead is located right outside camp and it is only 4.4 miles.

Happy Fathers Day
Here is a special video for My Father whom I love and appretiate so much.
We are having a great time at camp and enjoying the warm weather. Teancum has won the hearts of all of the staff here which has shown me the reason that the human race propogates so well.

Week Three
On Teancums third week we went back to idlers rest. He had been there four weeks before but this time he could see a little better. We are working on Elimination Comunication, i.e. he trains me on when he needs to go and I take his diaper off a give him a little cue of his own (we use a psspss sound) and most of the time he goes. This has been saving a lot of diapers and therefore laundry. He has only gotten me really good a couple of times, but I clean up easily. He has even got Mike trained on his cues now. It is pretty convenient having a portatable food source for those mid hike snacks and I am learning fast that I can't really count on getting anywhere too fast, but I am getting better about sceduleing around his feeding and pottying and my friends are pretty good about letting me potty and feed my kid in their homes.

Teancum Mark Heward
This is not only a super cute video, but also to help folks know how to pronounce his name. He is named after a righteous man in the Book of Mormon, Teancum was a military captain and a patriot who fought for the freedoms of his people. Teancum is also the name of Michael's Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather. They also fought for freedom for their families and country. We will call him Tank for short, because he is one. He was born at 1804 on 5/16/10 after 29 hours of labor (but it is hard to figure out when to start counting). He was born at home weighing 8 lbs 15 oz (after a good poop), 21 inches long and a 14 inch head. He is a great eater and a pretty chill baby mostly just making cute noises except when hungry or getting a cold wipe. He is awesome and we love him!

Progression
34 weeks - there is really no getting around this basket ball now. I am still pretty active it is just a little harder to tie my fire boots when I go hiking. I am also running out of pants and most of my normal shirts are amoung the belly variety. I just hope that it warms up before my coat stops zipping up.
28 weeks - still hiking and mostly just looking like I have a beer belly
23 weeks - burning in FL, don't worry, I was just there teaching and observing. Fortunaly my line gear hid the fact that my pants were not buttoned.
19 weeks - this was a couple days before the below ultra sound, strange there is a cantelope sized little dude in there.

These are the first shots of the first Heward/Thibo Nugget. We have got a boy coming to our family somewhere around May 14th. Perfect timing for summer.
Everything is going really well, I am still able to excersice, and haven't felt sick the whole time. Due to my hight I just look like I have put on a little weight in the middle, which I think will be the case for some time. Little does everyone else know there is a being the size of a cantalope doing the chicken dance.
Notice the distinct Heward Spoon thumbs. Mike is the only one in his family that has them, but we might be starting a family tradition. THe picture on the right has the arrow pointing right at it.
The Foot is measureing 4 cm right now at 21 weeks along.
Looks like I will have a different kind of adventure this summer.
We will be going to NH for the summer again, but this time I will be there the whole time and no fires, at least not the kind I work with normally, I am sure I will putting out lots of small fires, good thing I am a trained professional.
